Welcome to the WellStar School of Nursing, the largest nursing program in north Georgia.
We offer baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral degrees and have an accelerated track
for students with degrees in other fields. Our graduates consistently perform above
the national average on the state licensing exam and our nurse practitioner graduates
have a high pass rate on the certification exam.

New Faculty Member
Dr. Lauren Godley received her PhD in Nursing Education and Administration from William Carey University. She specializes in medical-surgical nursing, mental health nursing and simulation.
Change in WellStar Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Leadership: Dr. Dwayne Hooks is the Coordinator for the Nurse Practitioner Program.
Suspension of MSN: Nursing Education Leadership Track. After careful consideration, the decision has been made to suspend admissions to the MSN:Nursing Education Leadership in the Digital World track until Fall 2018.
Change in BSN Leadership. Dr. Rebecca Shabo is the Interim Associate Director and Dr. Janice Flynn is the Interim Assistant Director for the BSN in Nursing Program.
New Audiovisual System
The WellStar School of Nursing is adding a state-of-the-art audiovisual recording system in the Simulation Labs to enhance student learning.
