Collaborating Teacher Information

Welcome to our Collaborating Teacher (CT) resource page, where we aim to provide current and potential CTs and administrators with information about the placement of KSU Health and Physical Education (HPE) teacher candidates in public schools. Whether you are curious about hosting a candidate for the first time or you are currently serving as a CT, we hope that this site provides the information you seek.

Our faculty believes that the CT is an integral partner in the development of future health and physical education professionals. While we are confident that our courses prepare candidates to be successful teachers, we know that the experience they gain practicing teaching in the “real world” under the guidance of an experienced teacher is vital to their becoming effective educators. We also believe that hosting a candidate can be mutually beneficial for the CT in that they have extra assistance in class, may gain new ideas from the candidate, and that they can be part of a greater collaboration between KSU and partnering schools in providing students with quality health and physical education programs.

Simply put, we are all on the same team with the same goal—continuing to improve the quality of health and physical education in the state of Georgia and beyond. We are indebted to the collaborating teachers who partner with our program in preparing the future of our profession. Please let us know how we can further assist you.
