KSU Challenge Corner

Welcome to the website for Kennesaw State University's ropes course, Challenge Corner. The Challenge Corner provides the KSU Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education (HPE) with an impressive new teaching and learning station for HPE majors and for the University. Located near the Jolley Lodge, Challenge Corner features a high ropes course plus multiple low course elements for promoting cooperation, trust, communication, and problem-solving for small group experiences. We look forward to serving you in the future.

The vision for Kennesaw State University’s Challenge Corner is to provide opportunities for Kennesaw State University students, faculty, staff, and the greater Kennesaw community to explore group relationships, to experience individual and group challenges, and to confront and overcome fears. Challenge Corner is located on the KSU campus near the Jolley Lodge.

KSU Challenge Corner has the responsibility of providing the safest environment possible for the KSU community to participate in high rope and low rope experiences. Challenge Corner will operate under the “challenge by choice” policy. Participants will be encouraged (challenged) to join in the experiences provided in the elements, however if a participant chooses not to, that is an acceptable choice. This underlying philosophy of KSU’s Challenge Corner holds that SAFETY and CHALLENGE BY CHOICE are top priorities. Challenge Corner is a low pressure environment in which a participant should feel free to look inside the self and the group in order to better understand both. Thus the KSU Challenge Corner provides self-evaluating opportunities in an environment free of judgment.
