Through SPARK Prize, United Way funds small grants to incentivize collaboration and social innovation among nonprofits, businesses and community groups, while showcasing Atlanta’s ingenuity when it comes to addressing the needs of children and families. Since February 2015, the Spark Prize has granted over $210,000 to more than 20 nonprofits across Greater Atlanta.

United Way of Greater Atlanta and Kennesaw State University partnered to host a nonprofit Spark Prize Pitch Competition showcasing finalist organizations from Cobb, Cherokee, Douglas, and Paulding communities.

Winners of this shark tank-styled competition will receive small grants to fund collaborative & innovative projects that address pressing homeless challenges to improving Child Well-Being.

New this year - People's Choice Award! Attendees voted for their favorite projects with the student group winning up to $2,000.

Under the direction of Dr. Jennifer-Wade-Berg, KSU Human Services undergraduate students secured first, second and third place. A KSU team also received the people’s choice award!
