Scholarships

Today’s Kennesaw State University Academy for Inclusive and Social Growth student is tomorrow’s leaders in the disability community throughout Georgia and across the country. Through the generous support of our donors, community partners and grant opportunities, the Academy offers scholarship opportunities for incoming and returning students. Recipients utilize these funds to offset the cost of attendance. In 2019-2020, the Academy for Inclusive Learning and Social Growth awarded 29 students financial support from our donor support, Jill Sloan endowed scholarship, and Homer Allen grant a total of $77,800. In the Fall of 2019, GCDD awarded 18 students a total of $15,000 in scholarships and in the Spring of 2020 awarded 20 students a total of $15,000 in scholarships.

Coming this academic year, 2020-2021, the Academy will be awarding incoming students with a total of $35,000 in scholarships. A new scholarship opportunity exclusively for incoming students, the Academy Incoming Student Scholarships offers these applicants the opportunity to attend the Kennesaw State University Academy for Inclusive Learning and Social Growth demonstrating financial need.

To support our student’s growth, the Academy for Inclusive Learning and Social Growth team makes every effort to apply for grants, seek donor support and community partners.  Our teams’ goal is to ensure academic growth and success by promoting these scholarship opportunities to our parents and students when applying to the program.
